Rainbow Springs State Park

At the main “headsprings” entrance of Rainbow Springs State Park, visitors may swim in the freshwater springs, rent canoes and kayaks, stroll through waterfalls and gardens, and enjoy a picnic area with tables, grills, and pavilions. Tubes are not allowed in the headsprings area of the park. These beautiful crystal-clear headsprings of the Rainbow River are a site of unique history and natural beauty.
The tent and RV-friendly campground is located at a separate facility. All sites have water, electric and sewer. Pets are welcome and visitors may access the river to fish, swim or paddle.
A few miles away at the tubing entrance, visitors may rent tubes and use a shuttle service to float down the Rainbow River back to their vehicles. Tubing is available during the summer season.
Archaeological evidence indicates that people have been using this spring for nearly 10,000 years. Rainbow Springs is Florida’s fourth largest spring and, from the 1930s through the 1970s, was the site of a popular, privately-owned amusement park.
